Grinding / pulverising

Smile Plastics pulverises all polymers and plastic granulates to any desired size, from coarse powders to a microfine powder. We use two different grinding methods:

• Cryogenic grinding (using liquid nitrogen)
• Ambient grinding (conventional grinding system)

Because we can provide both methods in-house, Smile Plastics can process both granulates and coarse powders into a microfine powder. The powders are therefore suitable for a wide range of applications including rotational moulding, masterbatch production, coating and vortex sintering. We can advise you as to the most suitable grinding method based on the properties of the powders.
